This illustration represents the Graphic style that I want to use for this project: it is a combination of hand-drawing techniques (in this case, ballpoint pens and colour pencils, which are used hatching and circling) with digital illustration. I also want to use a lot of stylisation, many small detail and overall elegant and cute visual language. I would like to include patterns and ornaments into illustrative elements, as well as many interesting textures, varying from object to object, to represent different materials.

Conceptual illustration number 2 - I decided to combine analogue illustration (color pencils and ballpoint pens) and digatal media. I also wanted to experiment with pointillism technique.

Initial analogue sketch for the conceptual illustration number 2. Colour pencils and ballpoint pens. A4.

Main characters - Taho and Princess Camellia - character designs.

Taho's design and costume is influenced by the place where he was actually born - on the sky. The creatures from Taho's universe a guardians of the world who create clouds (with their long tails, which are also used as a flying mechanism). THey create those clouds so that the big ocean with the moon fish and the sun fish don't fall on the earth. And at night these creatures shine, but the earth animals are used to think of the night lights as stars. In reality, they are the sky guardians. However, Taho was born without the ability to fly or create clouds...

Princess Camellia (Melli) is a princess of the Squirrel Kingdom on Earth. Eventually, Taho and Camellia become true friends and fall in love.

First sketch for Princess Camellia

This is a sketch in progress. I am creating a new magical character for my book "Taho has (no?) friends". It is a little bird that lives inside the shell (like a pearl and of the size of the pearl) in the deep of the sea and can make anyone's wish come true. But only if their wish comes from the best intention. It is very hard to find the shell where the magical birdie lives, but some still try in order to be granted a wish.

Work in progress. Ballpoint pen - circling technique.

Just a sketch for a potential character
